How It All Started

Born and raised in Queens, New York, my journey with dogs started long before I turned 16. While living in Mexico, I had my first hands-on experience working with dogs. That early exposure taught me a lot of patience, body language, trust and what it really means to lead.

When I returned to the U.S., I started walking dogs. What began as a hustle quickly turned into a deeper passion. I wasn’t just showing up for the walks, I was observing behaviors, studying temperament and wondering why some dogs thrive while other struggle. I knew I had more to offer.

That curiosity led me down the path of balanced dog training. I invested in education, shadowed experienced trainers and began working with dogs dealing with real-world issues like reactivity, anxiety, leash pulling and more. Through it all, one thing remained clear: dogs don’t just need love, they need leadership.

Now, as the founder of Blunt K9, I, Christian Garcia, specialize in helping owners gain real control while still honoring the bond they share with their dogs. My focus is on clear communication, consistency and structure because that’s what creates lasting results.
